Every size chart in SmartSize has a name and a status. The name helps you organize and identify charts in your dashboard, while the status determines whether a chart is published and visible to customers or kept as a draft for later use.
Prerequisites
- A size chart created (new or existing)
Edit the chart name
- In the Size chart settings panel, locate the Name field.
- Enter a descriptive name (e.g., Dress Women, Shoes Men, Kids Tops).
- The name is for internal use only—it will not appear to customers.
Tip: Use clear, consistent names so you can easily find charts later, especially if you manage multiple templates.
Choose the chart status
Important: This step is left for the end, once the size chart is fully created and ready to be published.
- In the same settings panel, locate the Status dropdown.
- Select one of the following:
- Draft – the chart is saved but not visible to customers. Use this while editing.
- Active – the chart is live and visible on your storefront once linked to a product or collection.
Expected Result
- The size chart is labeled with a clear, descriptive name in your SmartSize dashboard.
- Its status controls whether it is hidden (Draft) or published (Active).
- Customers will only see the chart if it is set to Active and linked to at least one product or collection.
Additional Information
- You can rename charts at any time without affecting their functionality.
- Draft charts are not visible to shoppers but can still be previewed inside SmartSize.
- Switching a chart from Draft to Active immediately makes it available on linked products.
Troubleshooting
- Chart not appearing in store: check that the chart status is set to Active and that it is linked to the correct products or collections.
- Multiple charts linked to the same product: ensure the correct chart is set as Active.
- Changes not showing: confirm you clicked Save after updating the name or status.
