Tabs let you split a size chart into multiple views (for example, a Size chart and a How to measure view). This keeps content focused and easy to scan both in the editor and on your storefront modal.
Prerequisites
- SmartSize app installed and connected to your Shopify store
- A paid subscription (or be on a trial period)
Step 1: Open the chart and locate Tabs
- In Shopify, go to Apps β SmartSize β Size charts and open the chart you want to edit.
- At the top of the components list, find Tabs for multiple size charts. You will see the current tab selector (for example, Size chart) and a + button.
Step 2: Create your first tab
- Click the + button next to the tab selector.
- By default, you will see your first tab named 'Main Tab'
- Choose Rename view and give it a clear name (for example, Size Chart).
Important: if you only have one tab, this tab will not be visible in your size chart
Step 2: Create your first tab
Add an additional tab by clicking on the + button. Give your second tab a name.
Step 3: Configure components per tab
With a tab selected, edit only the components you want visible in that view:
- For the Size chart tab: add or edit your table in Size chart and, if needed, enable Automatic unit conversion.
- For the How to measure tab: add your visual and copy under Measurement instructions.
- Switch tabs in the live preview to view the content in each tab
π‘ Tip: The leftmost tab opens by default to shoppers. Keep your primary table as the first tab.
Expected Result
Your size chart displays as a modal with tabbed navigation at the top (e.g., SIZE CHART and HOW TO MEASURE). Shoppers can switch tabs without scrolling, and each tab shows only the components you configured for that view.
Additional Information
- You can add more than two tabs, but we recommend keeping it to 2β3 for clarity.
- Renaming or deleting a tab does not affect the content of other tabs.
Troubleshooting
- Tabs donβt appear: ensure you created at least two tabs and the chart status is Active.
- Wrong content on a tab: switch the tab in the selector before editing; changes apply to the currently selected tab only.
- Mobile layout: long tab names may truncate. Use short, descriptive labels.
