Before you create a size chart, make sure you have embedded SmartSize in your store.
Follow this step-by-step guide to create a size chart for your Shopify store using SmartSize.
1. Navigate to the Size Charts Section
- In your Shopify admin, go to Apps > SmartSize > Size Charts.
- Click Create size chart on the top-right corner of the page.
2. Choose a Template
- Select a template that matches your product type.
- Templates are organized into categories such as Women, Men, Girls, Boys, or Blank for a fully customizable chart.
- Templates are a great way to get started really fast! You can always modify the content.
3. Start Creating your Your Size Chart
- Name Your Size Chart:
- Enter a name that helps you identify the size chart (e.g., "Women’s Dresses").
- The name is for internal use only and won't appear in your store.
- Tabs (Optional):
- Add tabs for multiple size charts if needed (e.g., one for inches, another for centimeters).
- Header (Optional):
- Add a descriptive header or introduction for your size chart.
4a. Add Data to the Size Table
- Fill in Size Chart Data:
- Enter your size information in the table provided. You can add or remove rows and columns as needed.
- Example columns: Size (S, M, L), Bust, Waist, Hips.

- If you right click in a cell, you will be able to access plenty of options (deleting a column or row, adding a new column or row, etc.)

4b. Add Conversion and Measurement Instructions
- Use Automatic Unit Conversion (Optional):
- Enable unit conversion under Automatic Unit Conversion.
- Choose a Base Unit (e.g., Inches or Centimeters) and set rounding options.
- Important 1: The base unit should be the same as the unit in which you entered the values in the size table. If your values are in centimeters, please select centimeters. If you values are in inches, please select inches.
- Important 2: To disable conversion for a specific column, add ** to the column title (e.g., "US Size**").
- Add Measurement Instructions:
- Provide instructions for customers (e.g., how to measure bust, waist, and hips)
- Upload Images:
- Add visual aids for measurement instructions by uploading images (e.g., size guide illustrations).
- You can upload images from your own computer or visit SmartSize image gallery.
- Once you have uploaded an image, the image is stored and you can access it again for future size charts by clicking on 'View images'
- Supported formats: .gif, .jpg, .png, .webp, and .svg.
5. Adjust Layout Settings
- Go to the Layout Settings section and:
